Happy 4th of July-Part 1

We had a hot, hot, vacation, hot fun, and hot hot.
There was no shade so we had to bring our own. I swear it was 115 degrees out. We brought our canape with no instructions. Yea that was fun. We stood outside in the sun burning up half fainting trying to figure out how to put the little pieces together. Dad walked off, probably taking one of the grandkids with him. After S. finished putting up her tent the three girls went to town. Felt really great when we finally got the cover one (took us 3 times to get it on right). But, it was all worth it.

C. quickly took the time to set up the cot and take a rest. Mission accomplished. Everyone took a few minutes to recover in the shade.
Even Suzzy was able to take some time to sit in the shade.

The little ones reveled in a cool juice. Eventually we filled up the cooler with water for a quick dip for the little ones. Wish we had a bigger pool for all of us.
Awwww. The final top it off for the day was the ribs. She S.'s blog for the great receipe. It took a while to get the meal together and dutch oven cook it so we finally ate about 10:00. But wow, thanks so much S. the meal was just great. WE really savored it. Great thing was that there was some left over for the next day.
That day ended on a mad dash. Just as we were finishing our meal a huge swarm of nats flew in. I have never seen anything like it, it turely was amazing. We had to dash into the camper. Even then they slipped it when we opened the door. Dad and I took our little vacume and tried to vacume them out of the air and off the ceiling. interesting experience. What was really interesting was the bathrooms the next day. There was so many dead, nats that the water in the comodes were black and the seats were covered. A truely amazing experience. We were very glad that this was an unusual experience. Never happened again. The wind came with a rush the rest of the time and blew them all away. In the end it also paid off not having the shade. The misquito's didn't like it either and we got some relief there. Thanks so much. Thanks girls for all your work. We really have great memories.
